I was desperate after being screwed by Alitalia on a connecting flight to Portugal. Airport Hotel the Hilton wanted 500 euros for 2 nights. Found La Scalletta on Booked.net for 65 euro per night and only 10 kms from airport - and on the beach. Good location. Great staff. Very helpful. Young guy (Anglo/Italian) very hepful as was the receptionist Francesca. And had to leave at 630am for flight. They gave me wake up call and breakfast!! Great budget hotel. Grazie.
Aircon a little noisy.
Excellent Location in the middle of the main street with free Parking nearby, close to everything you might need!
Breakfast could have been better. Scaletta has no private beach access so calculate around €18/day/couple to use other Hotel's beach because the free public beach is dirty.
Tidy, friendly staff, some in the staff did not speak English. Stefano was there most the time so it always worked out. Close to the beach, the fee to the beach was subsidized Easy to get to Rome by train. The rooms were well soundproof when you had shut the windows
Breakfast was very simple even for a South Europe dimension.
convenient close to Rome airport and central in Ostia, near reataurants and shops. for a short stay 100%
neighbouring room guests sat on balcony all night and was noisy
It was a short walk to the public beach, but so much was happening just outside the hotel that we really didn't need to leave the balcony. The staff new enough english to be helpful.
only the location near to the beach
no parking-it is a big problem,poor breakfest,no loby,very old hotel
Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable
In too busy a spot, above McDonalds and pretty noisy from loud music until the early hours from local bars and outside the pier opposite.
I was very pleased with the location, the Hotel Staff, the Hotel was close to the train station, I liked being on the beach yet not too far from Rome. The Manager was so sweet and helpful. Wish I decided to stay a few more days.
Good location close to beach and Roma-Lido railway. Proximity of shops and restaurants but quite quiet during night. Proximity of the Fiumicino airport but without usual airport-linked noise. Friendly and competent staff.
Tiny room and bathroom, fungus in the bathroom, very poor breakfast (coffee, tea, croissants and toasts). Altogether, poor facilities for this money (85€/dbl).
The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, prepared to assist you with any difficulties. The level of English spoken was also excellent. There was generally a warm and friendly atmosphere, one that made my stay very pleasant indeed.
The room was very clean, modern, and well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The only thing to complain about is the lack of free WiFi in the hotel. There is wireless access for a fee, though the fee is actually quite reasonable (I paid 1eur for an hour, 2eur for 3 hours).
My friend and I had a small but newly renovated room and bath. Bathroom was a good size as was the shower stall. Our room was on the second floor in the corner facing the main street, beach and ocean. We could open the patio doors leading to our balcony and from the comfort of our beds, could watch the ocean, boats and planes coming and going. Ideal location if you want to be away from hustle of people and traffic in Rome. Approx. 35 min. by train to Rome Terminal at about 1.30E. Lots of restaurants and affordable shopping on the main streets. Train and bus terminal about a 10 min. walk or #62 stops directly in front of the hotel. Adequate continental breakfast each morning. Stephan, a great help and the only english speaking employee. We stayed here 5 nites and if possible would have extended our trip. Relaxing location. Stephan arranged a shuttle to the airport for us with another hotel at a cost of 7E each.
No hotels provide Ice for drinks. This was all 5 hotels we stayed at in Italy.
Location is so close to the beach
Staffs are not so kind. It not close to the metro station. Rooms are not very comfortable and are very simple (my room didn't have view to the beach)
Great hotel with great location for a good price!
Good value for the money. Its right across the road from the Sea, 30min bus ride to the airport. The receptionist were very friendly and spoke English very well. The hotel was clean, and there was lots of space in the room for storage.
